In
2007-2008, the education and training programme gives priority to the personal
enrichment and professional development of ministers and key leaders. This is
delivered at two levels:
Level
one: Formation
studies and professional development for credentialed ministers.
Level
two: Education
and training for Pastors and key leaders in specialised areas of ministries.
The
Certificate in Ministerial Studies (CIMS) provides the core programme of
education and training. This is offered in 21 courses:
CIMS
courses can be taken as individual units or a set of units, depending on
participants' objectives, for example, some courses are prerequisites for
ministerial training and some have transferable credits to higher education and
training. Students with 30 CIMS course credits can transfer into Patten
University (Oakland CA) to complete a BA in Church Leadership or Worship
Leadership:

Academic
links have been established with the following five institutions for leaders to
pursue post graduate studies in theology:

Walking the Talk - an innovative approach to discipleship training.
This
is a six month learning event based on Matt 14 25-32. It will involve reading
John Ortberg - 'If you want to walk on water you've got to get out of the
boat', keeping a learning journal, participating in an e-discussion with up to
12 people, feedback from the facilitators and one meeting with course
participants at the end of the course.
The
course would be particularly useful for a small group of two or three people in
a local Church who could meet together at home to discuss their reading and
learning journals.
The
Education Centre provides opportunities for individuals, ministry teams, local
and district churches to come and reflect on their call and ministry with or
without the support of one of our facilitators.

To lead
effectively in the 21st century, leaders must be trained and well disciplined -
ready to show themselves approved unto God and man. This is not easy, neither
is it cheap. Only those who are prepared to pay the price
will receive the greatest accolade, Well done thou good and faithful servant.
I thank God for the anointed men and women we have enlisted to pour into the
lives of our students and for all those whom God have rdained to enrol into the
programme. Together we will conquer for
our God.'
