The Roswith Gerloff LibraryPosted by Administrator on 21/07/2010 19:42:47 The Leadership Training is home to this unique collection of research material (i.e. books, Videos, research papers, audio-visuals, tapes etc) on the BMCs in England spanning 1972-1992. The library was donated by Dr Gerloff who has written extensively on Black Pentecostalism in Britain and has produced some influential work on the social, cultural and missiological significance of the African Caribbean Diaspora contribution to the Christian faith. The collection we now have in our care is the result of her research and work over the decades, culminating in her two-volume publication, ‘A Plea for Black British Theologies: The Black Church in Britain in its Transatlantic, Cultural and Theological Interaction.
In addition to this collection, we include research and other material written/produced by members of the New Testament Church of God and other Pentecostals about our history and ministry.
We are committed to making the resource accessible to the wider community. We plan to set up a working group to take this agenda forward. We would be glad to hear from you if you are an established or an emerging historian/librarian/archivist/writer and would be able to assist us in this initiative.
