Welcome to our 8th ANNUAL NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

The day will be the 16 August 2008, and the venue will be Aldersley Leisure Village, Aldersley Road, Wolverhampton, WV6 9NW. For all those who have taken part in recent years in making sure that the youth from your District or local church have been able to attend or take part in the day, I’d like to say a very big thank you for your hard work. Always remembering that all the hard work you have put into helping the development of your youth; will impact in the lives of their future and in the future of all they come into contact with. As we move into our 8th Annual National Sports event I’d like to ask for your continued support this year, along with the national sports committee and myself.

Unfortunately last year, the weather was not too kind to us due to persistence rain, but we still hope and pray for a blessed and most successful national sport day 2008. We have again listened to your concerns and have made one or two changes in order to accommodate these concerns, so this year, the day is as follows:

All attendees are expected to register for this event.
There are two ways to register…

Please note, bring a packed lunch with you on the day!

Competition games: 
(Discretion will be necessary when picking teams, i.e. if you have under 16’s who are big for their age, we don’t mind if you include them in the 16+ category).

1. Football Competition

• 6-a-side football for 16+
• 6-a-side football for Under 16’s (Minimum age 11 years) 

2. Netball Competition

• Netball for over 16+
• Netball for under 16’s (Minimum age 11 years)

3. Basketball Competition

• Basketball for over 16+

4. Exhibition Events

• Dominoes (Players of all ages welcome)
