Dennis Scotland was adopted at the age of three and moved to Jamaica when he was thirteen.  He soon became distracted and involved in petty crime and drugs. In his search for identity and belonging he formed a strong attachment to the Rastafarian religion.

His life was dramatically changed when he was converted to Christianity at the age of seventeen and upon returning to the UK two years’ later, he began to share his testimony and minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a powerful and inspiring manner.

Dennis has ministered and impacted the lives of many individuals throughout Europe, the Caribbean and Africa.  He is a qualified social worker specialising in the care of abused and distressed children and young people.  He is the Assistant Director of Children’s Services at St Christopher’s Fellowship, which is a leading children’s charity.

Dennis lives in Essex with his wife Georgia and teenage daughter Jade and is a member of Word of God Ministry International.

Kevin Shaw grew up in a semi-rural Nottinghamshire mining village before moving to the City of Nottingham at the age of 23.  It was there that he went to the NTCG for the first time, primarily for the music (being a musician himself).  Having never experienced Sunday school or church before, the possibility of there being a real and living God was an alien concept.  Being a devout sceptic he set about reading the Bible and questioning God directly, until he was convinced enough to give his life to Jesus.  Within three months of his conversion Kevin was studying theology at Nottingham University and went on to gain a certificate in inter-cultural theology, a Diploma in Theology and Ministry, and a Divinity Degree from the European Theological Seminary.

He has a serious commitment to youth and as a pastor desires to lead young people into their own relationship with Jesus, and to give them a substantial platform to develop their ministries.

Kevin has been the pastor of the NTCG in Worksop for just over two years.    He also works for the National Probation Service in a Men’s prison.  He is married to Gemma and they have two sons, Joseph (3) and Daniel (5 months).
