The East-end of London has always been seen as the home of some pretty ‘dodgy geezers’, thankfully, Doug Williams is not one of them!

As the senior pastor of Emmanuel Christian Centre, a large and thriving inner-city church, Doug’s has to have a clear head and a heart for challenge.

The music Doug refers to has been his passion for years. As a singer/songwriter and guitarist, he was the recognised public voice for the revolutionary Gospel band ‘Paradise’ in the early eighties. Their sound was funky, soulful and destined for the charts with their single “One Mind two hearts landing a top forty spot.

Doug is married to Joan and they have four children.

Praisefest Project 2008

Music . Dance . Drama . Choir
The Creative Ministry areas are working together this year to bring to you Praisefest Project 2008. This will be a live ‘Kingdom Graduate’ presentation of drama, through live singing, music and dance. We would to include a number of young people from across the country and have listed the requirements below. If you or your group would like to participate, please could you send a DVD/video with completed application forms and return to Head office by 8th February 2008 latest, ensuring that you state the reference of the part/category you would like to apply for.

Jewellery Museum


A visit to the
Jewellery Museum & Pen Room has been organised for 10–12 year olds on Saturday 3rd May 08. Check in time is 9:45 am.

The subsidised cost for the trip is £6:00, which includes travel and a packed lunch.
